Kathy and I were friends in HS and became better friends when we both attended ASU. I will never forget the two of us going through freshman orientation and running all over campus in blazing heat. Our last stop was to get our ID pictures taken, and I looked awful (sweaty & my hair stuck to my head), but Kathy & I laughed because she looked far worse as she'd had 4 wisdom teeth removed a few days before and her cheeks were swollen like a chipmunk. We remained friends through college, I went to many music events with her (she was a music major) including a memorable all-tuba concert that unfortunately caused me to erupt with laughter in mid-concert, much to her embarassment. We worked together in adjacent shops in Thomas Mall and I helped cover for her when she badly injured her hand in a coffee grinder. Kathy was always a source of fun, laughter, and a very creative and giving person. She will always be in my collection of happy memories.
